Gunjantai Gole, a renowned social activist from Maharashtra, gained prominence for her impactful initiative, Mission Dhoodhdaan, and her other efforts dedicated to supporting orphans and children infected with HIV.

Since 2010, she has passionately dedicated herself to the cause, caring for numerous children and advocating for their rights. Additionally, she has provided vital assistance to women facing domestic abuse and violence, offering them shelter, legal support, and healthcare services.

Through her counselling efforts, she has empowered countless women, steering them away from despair and towards a path of resilience. Her unwavering commitment to aiding vulnerable children and women remains steadfast, offering round-the-clock support to those in need.

Proud Moments

In 2019,

Gunjan Gole herself started the constructive movement of Mission Dudhdan in Amravati, Maharashtra. After the birth of her baby, who was in the NICU for 10 days, she began feeding her milk to the newborns of two HIV-infected women and other needy infants in her trust. From that day, the milk donation started.

So far, Gunjan Gole has donated her milk more than 200 times. She also appeals daily to the maximum number of lactating mothers in the city to donate their extra milk to needy children and conducts awareness workshops and guidance on this subject.

She goes to the homes of lactating mothers, collects the milk, and delivers it to the milk bank. Thanks to her efforts, many needy and orphaned babies have been given life. Inspired by Gunjan Gole, the milk donation movement has started in many places in Maharashtra.

In order to ensure that every newborn child in the country gets the right breast milk, the Mission aims to establish breast milk banks in every government hospital as well as some private hospitals across India.

The goal is for as many lactating mothers as possible to contribute to these banks. It is noteworthy that today people recognize her as the modern Dharau of Maharashtra.
